France, the vital frontline
CASIP-COJASOR stands at this frontline and has become a forward-thinking laboratory for Jewish social innovation, developing new ways to protect dignity, strengthen belonging, and build resilience. This work continues the historic partnership with the American Joint, whose support has shaped our mission since 1945.
With an annual budget of €57 million, 65% of our funding comes from public sources. Yet public funds alone do not support innovation, impact measurement, or the expansion of our models beyond France, the very efforts that create long-term transformation. These essential initiatives depend entirely on private resources and generosity. And the need is accelerating. In just the past two years, requests for help from older adults have risen by 67%, and demand from families has increased by 44%.
Your partnership is essential to meet this surging need and to help shape the future of Jewish social care.
Our Haïm Campaign responds to this moment by advancing the core pillars of our mission:
• From archives into action – Preserving and sharing memory as a force for justice, education, and connection
• Inclusive housing – Creating dignified living environments for older adults and people with disabilities
• Trauma-informed care – Supporting survivors with compassionate, evidence-based approaches
• Intergenerational friendships – Linking elders and youth to combat loneliness and foster mutual understanding
• Excellence through evaluation – Ensuring all programs are rigorously assessed and certified with the French “Humanitude” label, which honors the person, not the protocol.
These pillars come to life in the three flagship projects that follow, each embodying our vision for a renewed Jewish solidarity
